Since our 5 kids aren't getting any smaller, we upgraded to a 2008 Tahoe. It's great to have a generous step dad with a GM employee discount. Thanks, Al, you rock!!

Wow, we have the best Nana ever! Lagea's mom flew down to LA to care for the boys while we went on our retreat. Today she flew to Phoenix to care for Jason's kids while he & his wife are on a missions trip in Africa. She rocks!

Hume Lake Couple Conference 2008

We had an amazing time this past weekend! We were one of 38 couples that attended from our church. The conference speaker, Gary Gaddini, gave us tremendous words of wisdom on having strong marriages. Tommy & I returned from the trip encouraged & inspired.

BTW: Who wants a "Buzzword" rematch?? I'm sure all the guys do :)

The New Place

Here are the promised pictures of the new place. The first floor of this beautiful 1700 sq ft townhouse has the kitchen, dining room, living room, office/gameroom, laundry room, & 1/2 bath. The tile floor throughout the kitchen & dining room is my favorite feature.

Next round of pictures will be of the upstairs which has the 3 bedrooms & 1 bathroom for children plus our spacious master suite with 3/4 bath.

I have enjoyed this past year focusing on being a newlywed. Once our family decided we were ready for me to "out-source" my talents we wanted a business that would compliment our family goals. California Wildfires

Remembering Dad

Yesterday was the 15th anniversary of Tommy's father passing away. We spent the evening listening to music & Tommy recounting stories of Dad. All the children & Lagea wish they could have met him. He is missed everyday.

Nana

Nana came to visit Sept 22 -Oct 2. We had a wonderful time! Our oldest son got her addicted to Slingo. It's bad when the grandson has to tell Nana to go to bed :) They had a great time teasing one another.

We took her on the Port of Los Angeles Waterfront Red Car that goes through San Pedro. We also spent a Saturday afternoon at the Los Angeles Maritime Museum.

Lagea & Nana also went to a taping of Dr. Phil. They wouldn't let us take pictures inside the studio but here's a sneaky shot taken outside :)

The 3 year old daughter of our friends Scott & Juliette was diagnosed with Leukemia on August 2nd. She was started a chemotherapy immediately. She is now receiving radiation treatment as well. Alyssa & her family have a long road ahead of them. Please keep them in your prayers! Here are some pictures.

Some of you know Lagea was a nanny for a wonderful family here in LA in the early 90's. We have had the pleasure of spending time with the Bennions since we relocated. The children are now 23, almost 19 & 16. The middle child is fondly refered to as "Miss Emily" by Lagea. The two of them spent time together on Tuesday taking the Mull children around Beverly Hills, Bel Air & Hollywood.

We attended the Grunion Run hosted by the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium http://www.cabrilloaq.org/. We didn't see any spawning grunions but we helped hatch some. We also were able to look through the aquarium.

Governor Appoints Oregon State Police Superintendent

Governor Ted Kulongoski today announced the appointment of Acting Superintendent Tim McLain to the position of Superintendent of the Oregon State Police, pending State Senate confirmation. "Deputy Superintendent McLain answered the call in December to serve as Acting Superintendent, and he has carried out that duty with integrity, honor and dedication to the safety of our communities," said Governor Kulongoski. "His knowledge of our state and his nearly 28 years serving Oregonians as a member of the Oregon State Police make him exceptionally qualified to lead Oregon's top state-wide law enforcement agency through this upcoming period of growth and expansion."

Some of you were aware of our lack of furniture these past few months. This past Tuesday at women's Bible study, Lagea asked for prayer about this dilemma. On Wednesday at 1pm this beautiful couch & armchair was delivered to our home! Not only did God answer that prayer fast but with alot of style :)
